my first game&watch
was chef and i still have this one. in 1982 everybody was playing game&watch
on the schoolyard and my twin-sister an me had to beg at least for two weeks
to get one. i remember that the choice wasn't easy - snoopy tennis
was a favourite, but my sister already took it and i thought two same games
are boring. i decided to take chef because of that cute cat in the left
corner. of course we played until any feelings in our thumbs was
gone. I kept my chef over the years (my sisters game was stolen after a
few months) but i never thought to build up a collection. i didn't even
know that there are so many different game&watches existing - the only
games i knew were the wide & multi screen games. in 1996, i was looking
for nes and gameboy games, i found a donkey kong 2 and i bought it for
30 DM which is about $14. that was the start of my game & watch collection.
unfortunately
i didn't note down all my finds, so this list is incomplete. the games
i got from trades are also missing because I can't remember all the names
of the collectors ...but: thanks to all these collectors i've traded with!!
